The amazing Kat, ruler of cool in tabletop design from Modern-twist, has just released a slew of new images to adorn her über cool silicone placemats and coasters. Kat works with many different designers to choose the perfect images for your tabletop and home.

Modern-twist is a San Francisco/Oakland based company that thrives on the great culturally diverse Bay Area community that is passionate about the planet, our differences, and our similarities. Bringing art to the table via collaborations with independent artists and designers (including Portland’s own Amy Ruppel and Matte Stephens) , Modern-twist is a pioneer in the use of food-grade, hand-silk screened silicone. With a minimalist aesthetic, Modern-twist home accessories exhibit unmatched elegance and innovation in the design and use of practical material.

Kat’s mantra is “what you eat is as important as what you eat on”. To this end, Modern-twist products are BPA, latex, and (bad) chemical free, and leave a minimal foot print on our fragile planet. Placemats by Modern Twist

Modern Twist was founded by Kat Nouri and is based in the San Francisco Bay area. Offering a minimalist design aesthetic, Modern-twist home accessories are made of food-grade, hand-silkscreened, silicone. Modern Twist aims to ‘bring art to the table’ by collaborating with independent artists and designers, such as Matte Stephens, Amy Rupell and Rex Ray.

We have carried Modern Twist placemats and coasters for a few years now, but we thought it was time to freshen up our collection. We have these designs in stock among others and coasters too! Check out our full selection in the shop and online.
