Each refined piece, gilded in luminous 22-karat gold, is adorned with the ancient metalworking technique called Cloisonne.

Tiny crevices etched in the surface of the pendant, called cloisons, are expertly filled with different colors of richly pigmented paste. Fire from a kiln transforms the loose mixtures into deep hues of hard enamel. The surface is then filed, sanded and buffed to exquisite shine.

Presented on a soldered 18 karat gold-dipped 30 inch chain. Individually pacakaged in glass vial with cork and gold foil stamped insert.

Yellow Owl Workshop creates limited edition paper goods, wedding correspondence and items for the home. Ready for the gallery wall, but formatted for everyday enjoyment, each article is made by hand with expert craft. Christine Schmidt received her BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and has exhibited across the US. She handles the designs. Evan Gross, her lovely husband, handles just about everything else.
