Porcelain & Sterling Silver

These earrings are part of Yasha Butler's Bone Series. Each piece in this series is unique and carved by hand. The two earrings that make up this pair are also slightly different from one another. The earrings are made of porcelain with no glaze application. After the final firing she sands the surface of the porcelain until it becomes very soft to the touch.

The earwires are sterling silver. They are attached to the porcelain piece with a simple circular twist.

The porcelain piece on each earring is about 1 1/4" x 3/4" and only 1/8" thick. The length of the wire is 1" from ear to clay piece.

As these are pieces are handmade and unique, it is possible that there may be very slight differences in the size of the final piece.
