She is a founder of Tribeca Potters, a studio in New York, just outside Manhattan in Long Island City, shared by several other studio potters. She lives with her husband in a rambling Upper West Side apartment. They have built a house and studio in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and every weekend she can work in the country with a break now and then to take her two springer spaniels, Marley and Sam, on hikes. They are surrounded in both their homes with all manner of wood and ceramic treasures – collected from travels, shows and friends.
